When my best friend Evie moved last year, she uprooted two of her peony plants from the yard in the old house and gave them to me. Now that they are in bloom, I marvel at their perfection and exuberance.
Maybe this year Evie and I won't have to risk jail time clipping peonies from other people's yards.
Yes, we've done that--You know how some poples's flowers just cascade to the sidewalk and it's such a temptation. Besides, peonies don't last very long on the tree and we hate for anything so beautiful to go to waste. Hey-- Thelma and Louise did much riskier things. Right?
My flowers inspired me to write in my "happy journal". It's handmade in Italy in a very soft leather. I love how it smiles at me even before I open it's pages.
I also love these beaded flower pens. They are handmade and almost look too pretty to write with.
I gave one of these journals and pens to a friend for her graduation and she loved it. Now I sell them at the Jardines gifts Studio.
There's much to be happy about--thanks goodness for peonies, best friends and "happy journals"
