Verde means Green

I know little about gardening so it's no wonder that I get such a kick when I grow something that my family can actually eat. This year I'm on a mission to go "verde" to save some "verde". As if eating wholesome foods, connecting with the earth, and relaxation in the garden wasn't enough; now we have the economy to motivate me to garden. I can't!

Every year we plant a vegetable garden and miraculously we get tons of tomatoes, zucchinis, eggplants and basil. No exaggeration! I love it. It is also true that every year I say that I'll start canning but it never happens.

This year the 20 to 30% increase in food prices might motivate me to take out those Mason Jars.

I'm so excited that we have added a wider variety of vegetables, I even have broccoli, I'm feeling adventurous. I am looking forward to eating more greens and also saving some green at the grocery store.
These herbs outside the Studio with my Garden Lore Stakes.

To make gardening more fun I found these beautiful garden stakes. Handcrafted from stoneware, they add whimsy and charm to any garden or to those pots on your kitchen counter.

Set of 3 $26.00 includes terracotta pot.
My son loves cherry tomatoes. Last summer, he would eat them before they'd rippen--peen right off the vine and warm from the hot afternoon sun.
Thanks for stopping by!
