The book we are reading for our June 20th book discussion meeting is Snow Flower and the Secret Fan by Lisa See.
While the story deals with friendship between women it also gives us a very intimate view of these women's lives, dreams, joys and sorrows in the context of their culture in early 19th century China.
I can't wait to hear what people think about this amazing story. There will be lots to talk about--that's for sure.
